This is a well balanced role for an entry level Data Engineer who enjoys problem solving, can interact with customers ranging from highly technical senior engineers to analysts, and enjoys working with high performing data solution engineering and customer success teams.
In this role you will get the chance to work with many different big data technologies.  You will gain heavy experience with MySQL, Kafka, Storm, BigQuery, Snowflake DB, Redshift, and many more!  We interact with many new tools on a regular basis, so you would be expected to learn quickly and help the clients as their build our their Pipelines.
The Alooma Customer Success Engineer role is for data engineers who thrive on finding creative solutions to customer problems and enjoy educating others. Is this a development role? Yes.   • Answer customer questions regarding Alooma integrations using support channels. E.g. Slack, Ticketing system
  • Work closely with Sr. Data Solutions Engineers and Customer Success Managers to provide best solution for customer issues in a timely manner
  • Help customers integrate Alooma with their existing data sources and other big data tools
  • Learn about customers' successes and challenges, share customer feedback within Alooma, and advocate for customer interests
  • About You:
  • 2+ years of experience working with big data (i.e. data engineering)
  • Deep understanding of SQL, Python, and Linux
  • Experience with ODBC Databases and Cloud Data Warehouses
  • Team-oriented and possess strong collaboration skills
  • Passionate commitment to quality and success
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly solve technical challenges
  • Able to relate technical concepts to customers of all technical backgrounds
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
