Solutions Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced hands-on customer-facing Solutions and/or Sales Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be the technical representative for the Alooma platform and services. This is a hands-on role with our customers and as such you will be working with a variety of technologies in the data space such as cloud data warehouses, Apache Kafka, SQL, and Python.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to continuously learn and update your skills in evolving technologies, and work alongside industry experts.
As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • working with customers, partners, and prospects to understand and propose solutions using the Alooma platform
  • managing technical sales process for our customers day-to-day
  • mapping customer requirements to current and future offerings
  • owning the technical sales process from introductory meetings to a successful POC
  • educating prospects on the business value of Alooma’s offerings
  • driving progress towards successful sales in concert with Account Executives
  • building trusted adviser relationships with key decision makers and serving as a customer's technical point of contact with a focus on customer satisfaction and success
  • providing live demonstrations of Alooma to prospective customers
  • documenting technical considerations and contributing to internal knowledge base as a resource for other teams, customers, and partners
  • About You:
  • 3+ years of experience working with big data (i.e. data engineering) with either data warehouse or data pipeline proficiency
  • Deep understanding of SQL, Python, and Linux
  • Team-oriented and possess strong collaboration skills
  • Passionate commitment to quality and success
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly solve technical and business-related challenges
  • Able to relate technical concepts to customers of all technical backgrounds
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time to meet with potential customers
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
