The best Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) are hunters at heart and often our first contact into a prospect organization. As such, SDRs must possess the ability to quickly develop rapport with influencers and decision makers at an executive level and spark curiosity in Alooma’s Data Platform as a Service. Their greatest skills are being able to engage, listen, challenge, and ask the right questions in a manner that creates a superior customer experience, setting the stage for Alooma sales. In this position, you will partner closely with the sales and marketing teams to drive pipeline for existing customers and net new logos. Your day will consist of cold calls, warm calls, email campaigns, social selling, conference calls, web-meetings, onsite meetings, and referral mining.
Responsibilities:Partner closely with sales and marketing to develop ongoing engagement strategies with assigned customer and prospect accounts to drive revenue Provide baseline research and intelligence within target accounts to identify key contacts and critical account informationProspect into target accounts via high volume cold-calling (60-80 contacts/day), networking, email, e-marketing, campaigns, and social outreachQualify leads/contacts based upon specifically defined criteria to transition meaningful sales leads into the pipelineLearn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of data infrastructure and Alooma’s capabilities, and clearly articulate our advantages to decision makers and influencers across multiple business disciplinesPresent high level demonstrations of our platform that conveys business outcomes while considering what is important to different user personasMaintain active engagement with existing customers to increase interest in additional uses for our platformContribute to critical functions associated with fulfilling the sales cycle (forecasting, reporting, CRM maintenance, correspondence, and communications)Drive attendance to various events (webinars, roadshows, conferences, etc.), and provide post-event follow upDevelop and maintain a current understanding of Alooma’s latest product offerings, and competitive product/market knowledgeMeet or exceed quarterly goal for number of opportunity targets, revenue, and weekly/monthly performance activity indicators
About You:Bachelor’s degree preferred3+ years of successful experience in a similar role — preferably lead generation/sales developmentAn aptitude towards building and growing functions; comfortable with ambiguitySalesforce experience preferred; Marketo experience a plusProven track record of creating revenue generating opportunities and quota attainmentAble to understand and successfully promote technical offerings and solution setsStrong organizational skills and ability to work in a changing environmentStellar verbal and written communication skillsWilling and able to travel for up to one week once per quarter for training or sales conferences
